A daily prayer from the New England Conference
Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.

Today's Prayer
A prayer written after a walk on the shores of Lower Narrows Pond in April, the day after “ice out,” by Norman Thombs, Director Camp Mechuwana Dear Lord, the loons returned last night; they have come home for the summer. The great eagle watched them from his favorite perch, near the top of an ancient white pine. Above them all circled two ospreys lit by the last of the day’s sun. Their screams filling the air. Suddenly along the bank of the lake two minks made their way searching for a meal. Lord, I stand here and give thanks for all your creation. I pray we come to understand that when we do anything to help the planet, we are glorifying you. Amen.
