Today's Prayer

Lord, you spoke your word, “Love one another." And we did not understand. “This is how they will know you are my disciples,” you told us but we thought you meant only to people like us. We should have known when you said it was a new command, yet we could not see. You sent Peter a dream. Peter understood. The gift of your love was for all. Help us, Lord, to understand also. Help us to put behind all of our biases and our “common sense” and open our hearts to love. Help us to be like you. Amen. By Rev.
