A daily prayer from the New England Conference
The clergy and laity of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Words of Inspiration. Turn to the Lord and pray to him now that He is near. Let the wicked leave their way of life and change their way of thinking. Let them turn to the Lord, our God, He is merciful and quick to forgive, "My thoughts," says the Lord, "are not like yours, and my ways are different from yours. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are my ways and thoughts above yours. LET US PRAY: Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the Lord's will. Eternal God, make us vulnerable and willing to begin again trusting you to love us unconditionally. Forgiving God, make us willing to seek you in truth and be emancipated by your all- encompassing love. Amen. By: Pastor Tryphena Evans, SEACOAST DCOM member, MEMBER ON MINISTRY TEAM of NEW LONDON UMC
