Daily Prayer

July 21, 2021 A daily prayer from the New England Conference The clergy and laity of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions. Today’s Prayer The United Methodist Church is celebrating 25 years of the Order of Deacon, who are ordained to word, service, justice and compassion. This week we are celebrating the wide variety of ways that our conference has lived this out through our laity and clergy. O God, from whom every family on earth takes its name, hear our prayers. Hear our sorrow for the millions who have and will die in the Covid pandemic. Hear are relief that we have vaccines that are working. Hear our hope that countries such as ours bring vaccines to countries unable to attain vaccine on their own. Let all know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that we all be filled with the fullness of God, who is able to accomplish far more than we can ask or imagine. (Ephesians 3:14-21) Written by Rev. Elizabeth Kubota, Deacon. Elizabeth is the Director of Music Ministries at FUMC in Westborough, MA, Commonwealth West District.
