A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis
During these difficult days, members of the clergy class of 2020 are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Lord Jesus, sometimes, we forget who we are, whose we are, and why we are here. On the night, when Nicodemus secretly came to you hiding one’s identity, you clearly revealed who you are by saying, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” Help us define who we are in your love and grace. And let our awareness of who we are lead what we speak and behave. Like Isaiah’s hearts, make our moment of calling be always vivid in our hearts. Let our remembrance of what you have done be the anchor of our church and be the beacon of hope for others. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. Pastor Sunjae Lee, North Ferrisburgh UMC, Vermont
