A Daily Devotion for Wednesday, Sept. 7

Romans 12:1-2

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God- this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- his good , pleasing and perfect will.

These verses offer so much. Paul suggests to the Romans that they should worship by being "all in" physically. We are vessels for the Holy Spirit, and our bodies and minds are all that we can use to do God's work. We can't hold back. We can't allow today's culture to pull us away from our goals. My worship of God today and every day should be evident in all that I do and say. I have this physical being only because God has something for me to do for Him.

Holy Father, thank you for bringing me this life and this body to live it. May I show my love for you in all I say and do. Amen

Becky, transforming
