Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
These verses do not directly refer to the experience of loneliness, but they point us to comfort when we need it for any reason. God is clearly there for us when we are lonely. We need to actively remember Jesus' promises and go to him. The "peace of God" is the real thing. It is free for the asking, and worth remembering.
Holy One, help me to remember you first when I feel alone. You are there, always, waiting only for me to seek you out. Amen

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
God knows that we will struggle with anxiety(sin, fear, doubt, worry and yes even loneliness) When I am anxious, I worry, and when I worry, I lose sight of God being in control and near me. He cares about everything in my life... all the details, all of my worries and again he tells us we will face these types of storms in our lives, but He promises He will always be with us throug…
Philippians 4:6–7
As a worrier, this verse is very familiar to me. I know I should turn into it more often, but I am often stuck in a bad place and I am the lone person there. I have distracted myself from God’s voice. I do eventually remember to pray about my worries. I remember that I should have brought them to God first!
Prayer: gracious God, thank you, thank you, thank you for this reminder to turn toyou first always. Amen
Philippians 4:6-7 This passage reminds me of what Kay taught us about prayer several months ago. The confident assurance that this kind of prayer brings helps cultivate a spirit of peace. When it becomes a way of life is when our very hearts and minds are guarded by God.
Prayer - Gracious God, I offer thanksgiving now for the gifts and blessings that await me today. I may not immediately recognize them as such, but put my trust in you to guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen
