Ephesians 4:2
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
This can be a tough lesson to live out. Especially if we are feeling personally attacked by someone else’s words or actions. There are some people who are simply not easy to love. In my profession I work with all sorts of people. Some are “easy” and some more difficult. But even though the setting is not a spiritual one, I am able to practice God’s commands daily. If I can stop at some point during each interaction and pray to God to help me to be loving and patient, I will have had a very successful day.
Holy Lord, be with me each and every day, reminding me to be patient and kind in every interaction. Amen

Ephesians 4:2
The Galatians reading has me harkening back to my working life where many times my patience was tested. Employees, physicians, patients… On any given day there could be a challenge. However, I will say that one of my basic philosophies that I preached to my staff was to respect one another, surround yourself with people that are smarter than you and lift up those you work with whenever the opportunity arises. Some days, this was easier than others. I believe that God wants us to be patient, to help those around us, and love the unlovable. It’s easy when folks are doing what’s expected or when the task of helping someone is easy or when someone makes …
Galatians 6:9-10. Ephesians 4:2
I really identified with today's story. I know I have been the "holier than thou" person on occasion. It was a long time ago but even now, recalling it, it is embarrassing. I certainly learned an important lesson and made a significant change in my thinking about myself. Everyday I try to be kind and patient. It is hard work some days, but certainly what God wants me to do.
Prayer: Gracious God, May I always pay attention to my behavior toward others and behave as you want me to do. AMEM

.Ephesians 4:2
With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
There are times when this is easier said than done . When I am really tired, I find it very difficult to see the best in people who are being rude to me. On the other hand this same rule applies to my own rude behavior to others, i just need to try harder. I am learning that he or she (or myself) are probably having a very bad day. We are all human, and it is difficult to let things that hurt us slide sometimes. Perhaps the person who they had to deal with right before…
Ephesians 4:2
Humble, gentle and patient are not the first characteristics that come immediately to mind when I think of myself. Without guidance from the Holy Spirit I could not begin to put these qualities into practice. It takes intentionality and I too often fall short of the mark. What has been proven true time and time again is that “bearing with one another in love” is always worth the effort.
Prayer - Merciful God, in Your abundant mercy, please grant me the humility, gentleness and patience I lack when they are needed to ease the burden of others. especially those who do not know You. Amen
