2 Thessalonians 3:1-5
verse 1: Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.
Here is something I can confidently pray for, believing it is God’s will. God wants everyone to turn to Him and to know Him. I do not know why this is so difficult and so slow to come to pass. I can pray for this for my own family, for my church family, for my community, nation, and for the world. I have to believe, and to remember, God wants to hear my prayers. I want my dreams and desires to be in line with God’s. God’s dream from 1Timothy 2:4- “who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
Heavenly Father, I pray this morning someone will hear about you today for the first time. I pray someone will hear about you today and know in their heart you love them. I pray today a heart will be warmed. Amen

2Thessalonians 3:1-5 1. Finally brothers, “pray for us” that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. Paul is reminding the converts of the Thessalonia how important prayer is. As Paul moves on he knows he needs their prayers to continue his work of spreading the good news of Jesus. We all need this reminder. Always pray; whether it be on your knees or just speaking with your God and friend. Prayer: Gracious God keep reminding me that prayer is not an occasional thing. Amen
2 Thessalonians 3:1-5
Verses 4-5
And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command. The Lord gives us confidence in what we are doing. Sometimes we cannot see the results of our effects. We are called to be faithful in sharing God’s Word. People may or may not listen and leave us disappointed because of the time we may have spent with them. But some seed will fall on good soil and the Lord will produce a harvest. He does not want to save all of his people all at once. Paul closes with his command: “May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.”As I…
2 Thessalonians 3: 1-5
5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
Paul is telling me that God is faithful in his love for me and to be Christ like in everything I do. To put my trust in God and Savior. As I pray today, I find myself looking at prayer differently. I see it as a means of talking to God as a friend. In the past I prayed differently. It is difficult for me to explain but it was different. Prayer brings me comfort today and an opportunity to tell God how much I care and love him. Prayer is such a powerful tool and one that I use every day.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5
3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
God is faithful, he is always with us, but we must turn to him for that strength and protection. He is not the first one I look to for strength. I look to myself. It is only when it is obvious that I cannot cope that I turn to the Lord. I am quicker to pray for others than for myself.
Lord I am trying to be more aware of your presence in my life. With help from you, and from others, I will succeed. Amen.
