Ephesians 4:26-27
"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
This is a useful perspective on anger. The anger in and of itself is not the issue here, but letting the anger lead us to sin is a big issue. We have probably all heard the marital advice: "don't fall asleep while you are still angry." Maybe Satan has some influence on us when we are sleeping and feeling uncharitable. It is a simple instruction, and one I will try harder to internalize.
Holy One, help me to recognize my anger before I allow it to grow. Thank you for all of the beautiful friends and family in my life. I have so very much to be thankful for. Amen

Ephesians 4:26-27
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
Being angry is not an excuse to sin. Self–control is required to direct anger in a God–honoring way. One way to control anger is given by Paul ,don't let the sun go down on your anger. The timing is not on the actual sunset, as if there's a certain time of day when all aggravations have to stop. The devil continues to have a place of power over me when I am angry and follow my own desires So when my anger turns into “pay back” I am invited to sin…
Ephesians 4:26–27
Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
Anger is a natural response, but we must learn to control it. If we don’t, it’s stays inside us and we can become a bitter person. We must learn to deal with it immediately. The longer we hold it in, the stronger the devil becomes and the weaker we become. When our anger is great, this is difficult, but we must try harder than ever to be in control.
Prayer: gracious God, help me to take a step back in my anger and reassess the situation. Amen
Ephesians 4:26-27 Anger is a wide open door for Satan to exert influence. As I read this passage, Paul does not say do not get angry. He says do not let anger produce sin. Anger is a basic human emotion, but how I harness and handle it is what reflects how seriously I take my profession to be a follower of Christ. My failures are legion, but I still must continue to try if sanctification is the goal.
Prayer - Lord of peace, something will happen or someone will do something today to produce a flash of anger in my mind. I ask now, for Your peace to deal with it in a manner that honors You and quickly extinguishes a…
