Psalm 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
It seems rather effortless to look around and notice God’s creation in nature. It is all so beautiful, each growing thing with a unique place and purpose in creation. It is much harder to appreciate each human being in the same way. And this Psalm reminds us that not only were we created by God, but we were created in His image! Even though we can never know the mind of God, we can be assured that each and every person on earth has a place and a purpose here. We may not understand the details, but the message is clear- we must cherish and treasure each other, even when purpose or strength or physical beauty is not clear. Each human being has worth and should be treated with love.
Holy Lord, your message to me has come through today. I am so thankful. Amen

God’s Best
( focus:to grow in love for my neighbors)
Psalm 139:14
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
When it comes to having good relationships it is vital that we learn to accept the difference in people. God created each of us differently on purpose. Those who are different from me are unique and special. And some people missed the train, because they said they were’t going anyway . I used to think where was I when God handed out the nice genes. I was right where I was supposed to be receiving what God wanted me to have, and so…
Psalm 139:13-18
Wonderful creations are all around us. They can be seen by traveling far and wide or by just stepping out the back door. God’s perfect creations are abundant and remind us daily of His greatness. In my early years as an operating room nurse, I was on the open heart team. I was able to witness this remarkable organ at work in many individuals. Although we are all distinctly different and unique on the outside, we are all basically the same on the inside. I look back in marvel at the fact that regardless of where you were from, your skin color, your religion, or any other number of individual traits, our hearts are the same. Just a…
Psalm 139:14
The inherent worth and beauty of each human life is lost in the world’s culture of death. I recently read an essay on so-called “medical aid in dying” and attended a seminar on the same subject. Despite the noble intentions of its proponents, this issue is fraught with misuse and even abuse. There are very convincing arguments from those living with disabilities and cognitive disorders of various kinds that they are at increasing risk when such systems become the accepted norm. Indeed, abuses of euthanasia have been well-documented everywhere it has been sanctioned in Europe, Canada and the United States. The precedents set are dangerous and frightening and fly in the face of the Christian ethos that recognizes…
