1 Peter 1:23

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Rebirth Haiku

A new life within-

Holding promises sweeter.

Still how we struggle.

God above, help me to accept your gifts and to realize their completeness. Amen

1 Peter 1:23

Says that we’re born again by the incorruptible seed of the Word of God.. Since I’m born of that seed and it’s in me I know what I can expect to happen in my life as it works through me. The seed of the Word of God inside me should prosper. It’ll prosper and that word means to succeed be fruitful. We’re NOT losers. Our physical birth leads to life but one that will end in death. The seed that will bring us spiritual life is the word of God. This new birth happens when we hear the word of God by reading the Bible and when we learn from these words and build our faith upon them.

Dearest Lord, you gave us your word through the gift of the Holy Spirit, and I thank you for that. It is through his workings that my rebirth in my faith has grown. Please continue to give me the grace to learn…

1 Peter 1:23 Peter and Paul had their differences, but the eternal significance of rebirth was not one of them. Both Interpreted the teaching of Jesus to mean that born of a woman we are destined to die, but born of the Spirit, we live eternally in the presence of God.

Prayer - Eternal God, as I await the spring to give new birth to the plants and trees dormant under this blanket of snow, I ponder the enormity of what my second birth in Christ entails. Thank You for the gift and sacrifice of Jesus that has restored right relationship with You and prepared a place for me at Your heavenly banquet. Amen
