Romans 10:13-15
...for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." But how, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news'"
Today these verses say something new to me. I have always understood that pastors and missionaries felt a "calling" to do what they do, but today this comes at me with a new clarity. These are the people God has called. They don't just decide to be ministers because they believe in God or because they think it would be fun or interesting or good for them for some reason. God picks them out to do what they do. Through the ages, one by one, he calls people to ministry. But He calls us all in different ways and directions. I was definitely never called to be a pastor. But I have been called to follow God. He has other plans for me.
Holy Father, you call each and every one of us to follow you in unique ways. Pastors and missionaries are called by you to be sure the Good News never stops being told. I am ready to do my part, and I treasure your call and your direction. Help me to see clearly. Amen

Romans 10:13-15
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed. And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard. And how are they to hear without someone preaching And how are they to preach unless they are sent As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!
I used to play an internet game called “Farm-town” played it for many years when I finally retired from the game, the good news was I was worth over $10 million dollars the bad news, just a game …
Ephesians 4:11–13 I love how these verses end. “How wonderful are the feet of those who bring the good news.” Hillside’s group finished our study of Mike slaughters “Christmas is not your birthday” last evening. We focused on key insights for us as we finish both this study in the year. We talked about taking a different road in our New Year’s resolutions, focusing not on ourselves, but on looking for opportunities to bring the good news by serving others in practical ways. We left our study with ideas of whole church ministries, as well as of several personal ones. Prayer: gracious God, may we be your hands and feet this new year as we bring your good news to those aro…
ROMANS 10:13-15 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
These verses tell us that people cannot believe in the Lord if they have never heard of Him or heard his word. They have not been exposed to preaching, so it is up to civilians to fill in. As Barbara says, a smile, a…

In this verse Paul is telling me that God’s words need to be passed on. I could not look to Jesus for eternal life, if I did not believe in Him. People cannot believe in Jesus if they have not heard about Him.…
Romans 10:13-15
This passage now always reminds me of my trip to Thailand with the Gideons International in 2005. We were distributing Bibles at a university campus and a young woman told us through a translator we had beautiful feet. The Gideons are a great example of lay people being sent by the Holy Spirit to places they would not have ordinarily gone to help advance the kingdom of God. This does not have to be a foreign land. We who believe are called to to minister to our world with the Good News wherever we are positioned.
Prayer - Here am I, Lord. It is I, Lord. I have heard You, calling in the night. I will go, Lord.…
