Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
The peace of God is such a blessing. It is God’s grace and His grace alone that allows me this kind of peace, just for the asking. I will admit that sometimes after the peace comes over me, I forget to thank God right away. But I am getting better at remembering. And I am also working on consistently giving thanks before the peace even reaches my awareness. God’s love does not fail us. I couldn’t live without Him. Amen

God'a there, listening for all who pray. for all who pray and mean it. MESSAGE
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all thst call upon him in truth. KING JAMES
To pray and mean it, to call him sincerely, to call him in truth--many versions all trying to say the same thing. Those of us who are believers often call/pray to our Lord for his help. We know his words and he knows out hearts. No matter how you say it, we should know that God is close by us always.

Psalm 145:18
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
This phrase is one, I use often because I say I know Jesus forgives me, but I can’t forgive myself. Do I really think that my own forgiveness is the ultimate forgiveness I can attain? Do I place my own forgiveness higher than Jesus’s forgiveness for me. Being able to forgive myself is an important and valuable moment, but it is not near as important as the forgiveness that God’s one and only Son Jesus gives to us. The reality is that Jesus paid in full for all sins…
Psalm 145:18 The psalmist offers an interesting qualification to the declaration that, “The Lord is near to all who call on him.” Our call to the Lord must be “in truth.” There are innumerable examples throughout history of actions carried out by individuals and the church writ large said to be “in the name of the Lord,” but do not reflect the truth of Scripture and especially the teachings of Jesus. These errors continue to this day whether in the form of “prosperity gospel” teaching or worse, shunning, harming or even killing “in the name of the Lord.” Prayers, words and actions removed from God’s truth as reflected in Philippians 4:4-9 will not be honored by God.
