Isaiah 43: 5-9a, 10-12

Verses 11-12: “I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed- I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,“ declares the Lord, “that I am God.”

These words are so comforting to me this morning. God is constant. No matter what happens in my life or in my little world or in the huge world around me, God is present. I tend to be easily moved to anger and frustration. Sometimes it is hard for me to give up to God the details and allow the big picture to unfold. I want others to (always!) see and recognize when their demands are out of line. That’s not my job. God is in control. I don’t need to be happy every minute.

Father God, you are in control. From the first to the last, this does not change. I am thankful for your grace, which I do not deserve. Amen

Isaiah 43: 5-9: 10-12

Verse 10 You are my witnesses, declares the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.

God is self-existent. Unlike everything else in the entire universe, He had no beginning, he has no end, because He is the Creator. With God he is aware of everything that has ever happened or will ever happen again. God is all eternity. All creation relies on God for existence, but he has no need for anything. He does not need our help. Through His infinite love and goodness, He has provided a w…

I feel blessed that I am among God’s chosen people. I am comforted by the fact that God is so forgiving. I acknowledge that Jesus is my Redeemer and that I trust with all my heart that he is God. I think the most difficult thing one has about believing in God is explaining it to those who don’t believe or understand. My faith has given me that wonderful choice to know and serve God the Father, the…

Isaiah 43:1- “But now thus says the Lord,

he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.”

God’s message to Israel is the same as to us in these strange days. “Do not fear,” appears in Scripture dozens of times, yet so often we become fearful. Is it because we doubt or simply forget that God is faithful and trustworthy. We are known by name. We belong to God and believers have been redeemed And are loved by God. This perfect love casts out fear.

Prayer - Creator God, may we be reminded daily of Your presence and care for…
