2 Chronicles 7: 14
”…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. “
God does forgive my sins. I suppose he forgives me without my asking, but I sure feel better asking. I have met Christians who do not believe they need to ask for forgiveness because of the sacrifice of Jesus. Through this verse, God reminds me to seek Him and to turn from “wicked ways”. I need to be watchful and admit when I have messed up, and go directly to God. This, I believe, is a big part of being humble. It is certainly not always easy.
Holy Father, I want to have a clean heart. Please forgive my sins. I live to follow you. Amen

2 Chronicles 7:14 Is being humble a form of weakness. If someone practices humility, does it mean they’re not ambitious and don’t care about performance or working hard. It’s the weak one who is humble and is dependent on someone else. The Bible has so much to say about being humble. The one who practices humility is actually the strong one. Jesus is our ultimate example of humility. Out of obedience to His Father, He humbled Himself all the way to the point of death on the cross.. If Jesus practiced humility why would I think I don’t need to. I don’t consider this weakness at all. I couldn’t even have a relationship with God if it wasn’t for what Jesu…
2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, . . . will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wick ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Being arrogant, meaning that you think you are always right and know better than anyone else, it would be impossible to accept God’s teachings. Being humble opens your mind to receive the Word and to follow it. I don’t have to give up my ability to think and make decisions, but I have to be humble and believe that God knows best and His will be done.
Dear Lord, I humbly pray to you knowing that it does not…

Sometimes it takes a lot of effort to say I’m sorry. Sometimes our ego gets in the way. This verse tell me that in order to gain God’s forgiveness, I would need to humble myself and ask for his forgiveness. I need to walk humbly, and increase my hunger for God’s word in order to gain the holiness that will help me gain everlasting life.
Dearest Lord, I seem to fall short in gaining spiritual…
2 Chronicles 7:14
This well-known verse stands In stark contrast to the arrogance and hubris of today’s self-exalting culture. The thought of humbling one’s self and seeking the face of God is utterly nonsensical to one who believes they are the master of their own destiny. The truth is we are masters of nothing, but instead of hiding behind the false bravado of rejecting God, embracing submission to God leads to a peace and freedom that cannot be understood until that step is taken. We who have are charged with helping them (with humility, of course) take that step.
