James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
This, for me, is a perfect way to experience God, wherever I am. All of God's creation is a gift, and is to be appreciated. And all of the beautiful creations which come from man, through talents given by the grace of God, also provide ways to experience God. Beautiful music, artwork, poetry and prose all provide ways to experience God. I am thankful for all of these beautiful things, as they bring me closer to knowing God.
Holy Lord, you have taught me to grow closer to you through the beautiful things created with your gifts and talents. I am so very thankful. Amen

As we look around us each day, no matter what season, we see all the good and perfect creations from our God. Each child born is the greatest of his creations. The snowflakes in winter, the new flowers in spring, a many different flowers and insects in summer, and the glorious colors of autumn. If you Marvel and appreciate these things, remember your God, who created them all.
Prayer:Gracious God, May I never take your marvelous creations for granted. I hope I always look at them in Wonder! Amen

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
In the previous verse James encourages his readers not to be deceived.
It might be wise to make a list of all the good things we do have. Where did all those good things come from? James is encouraging believers in Christ to tell themselves the truth: God gave you every single good thing in your life. He is the source of all the good you have and all the good you crave. This scripture for me is a great reminder that our God doesn’t change like a shadows or a wind can change, our God is constant, steadfast and true, always there , like looking at the sun breaking through the clouds! That’s our beautiful gift, that’s our reminder on how to experience our God!
Good and gracious God, thank you for the daily reminders and help me to remember to take time to stop and smell the roses so that I many truly experience your love…..
