2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Today I am reminded that we are never too old to learn new things. In the first passage from Acts, Phillip stops to teach someone he sees reading from the book of Isaiah. He connects the reading in Isaiah to the fulfillment of God’s promise in Christ! And the verse in 2 Timothy reminds us that all Scripture is God inspired. (Remembering that the only scripture was OT scripture.) For me, the new thing today was hearing how Phillip knew from Jesus’ teaching, exactly how OT scripture led to the coming of Christ, and was able to pass that on in a way that was understandable and life changing for the person he met, ending in his baptism in Christ. It is not new, it is a deeper recognition for me of the importance of OT scripture.
Holy Lord, every day is a new day, growing closer to you, thankful to you, blessed by you to walk this earth. I am yours. Amen

Eager to learn
(Focus:teachers who have inspired me
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
As I continue to read God’s word and apply it to my life , I will be forgiven for my sins, correct any errors I might commit as I learn to live in God’s will for me. God changes me as I stay in His word and I am still be transformed. God would, never ask me to be patient, if he didn’t give me patience. He would never expect me to love if…
2 Timothy 3:16-17 This passage always reminds me of my many years with the Gideons International. Countless times at gatherings of various types, while distributing Bibles at hotels or during mass distributions of pocket New Testaments with Psalms and Proverbs we would hear stories of people whose lives were radically changed by an encounter with God simply by reading Scripture. The inspired Word has power that no other writing can claim, and once a heart is opened to this power by the Holy Spirit a new life in Christ awaits. Believers are blessed with the opportunity, like Phillip with the Ethiopian, to help create a path for the Spirit in this transformational process.
