Healthcare Needs for Rural Ruboni Village, Uganda

$100 was donated to a project in Uganda to help provide healthcare to a rural village in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, that Steve and Sandy Fisher visited in 2019 while on safari. With no village health clinic, the complete lockdown caused by the pandemic was a hardship especially for sick children and pregnant woman who now had to walk over 4 miles one way to receive basic health care since no vehicles or motorbikes were allowed on the road into the village. The Go Fund Me page raised over $8700 allowing Ruboni Village to purchase a used 1996 van to use as an ambulance for transportation to the hospital 40 minutes away and to also have $1700 start up funds for a Ruboni Village Health Clinic.
