A daily prayer from the New England Conference
The clergy and laity of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Based on 1 Kings 3:5-10 Lord, may we be still enough to hear your voice when you ask us, “What do you want?” Like Solomon, may we be wise enough not to ask for “things” but to ask for guidance and wisdom. Wisdom to discern how to lead in these unprecedented times; wisdom to take care of ourselves in our day-to-day life so that we may truly be there for others. We may not ever understand why you call us to do what we do, but help us remember that we are not called to understand; we are called to be faithful. Again, please help us to take time enough to be still to hear your voice. May you guide and encourage us to help guide and encourage others in safety, in hope, in building a closer relationship with you in this beautiful tapestry of life.
Thank you, Lord for ALL your blessings. And thank you for the wisdom and guidance I know you will provide. Amen. Pastor Deb Hoffman, Community Church of Sandwich, Ctr. Sandwich, NH; Granite District
