A daily prayer from the New England Conference
Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.

Today's Prayer
A prayer for the first Sunday in a new appointment O Lord, give me a spirit of gentleness. In this season of new appointments, give me patience to learn from a new setting, and them to learn from a different pastor, and those continuing in ministry. Help me to treat others as your beloved children. Calm my tongue, ease my anxiety. Help me to see the burden that others are carrying, so that I might share their load, as Christ has shared mine. Give me the energy to do all that is before me, reminding me that the seeds I plant will bring a good harvest in its time, even if I am not there to witness to it. Let us work together for the good of all, this family of faith. These are your beloved children. I am your child. May we each have a spirit of gentleness. Amen. By Rev.
