A daily prayer from the New England Conference
Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Meanwhile Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any who belonged to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Acts 9:1-6, (7-20) God save me, muttering threats under my breathe, when my peace is disturbed when my world is disrupted. when you get in my face. God strike me With your true word when I go about my business, ease on down the road, ignore the real “why.” Jesus answer me when in my blindness, I do not know you and have to ask, “who are you?” Spirit help me As I hold out my hand And trust that you’ll lead me to healing helpers and visionary teachers. Spirit send me without hesitation washed in the waters of baptism to undo harm that I myself have done and to proclaim the truth of Jesus. AMEN By Rev. Karen L. Munson, DMIN, Many Waters District Superintendent
