Today's Prayer
We praise and worship you today as our God, our Rock and Redeemer, You sent the One in flesh to dwell among us, to be ... our hope, our firm foundation, the fullness of grace and truth. Draw us in to the presence of the Holy Spirit, Call our hearts and minds to be fully open to you, Call us to … listen your word that is perfect and revives our souls, tune in to the whisper of the Holy Spirit, see the need for redemption within our communities. The Spirit of the living God fell upon Jesus to ... preach the good news to the poor, announce pardon to prisoners, restore sight to the blind, Like our Lord Jesus, fill us with the same Spirit of … compassion and love, justice and liberation, mercy and healing. Send us with … the transforming power of the Spirit, your holy Word in our lips and hearts, courage and faith to resist evil in this world. May our lives be pleasing to you today and always, Receive this as our prayer, Our Rock and Redeemer. Amen. By Rev. Taesung Kang, Granite District Superintendent Based on Luke 4:14-21; Nehemiah 8:1-10
