November 14, 2020 A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis
During these difficult days, the Commonwealth West District is sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions. _________________________________________________________________________________
Today’s Prayer
Inspired by Psalm 123 Thessalonians 5:1-11
Oh God of mercy and comfort Help us to keep our eyes on you help us to remember you are in control may we remain patient and faithful knowing you are there to comfort us at all times Calm our hearts and minds when we are facing trouble and fear as our eyes look to you remind us we are light not darkness we must put on our faith and love as a shield to our hearts, our hope and salvation to protect our minds with this we know you are there to protect us in times of trouble and fear Be our courage and strength when things become too heavy for us to bear You are greater than all our burdens, you are sovereign over all things may you comfort us and have mercy on us all
