A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis

During these difficult days, Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar and members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.

You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.

Today’s prayer

O God, You promised us that the days are surely coming … Days when we truly appreciate the work of our front-line workers, Days when all people can receive the vaccine, Days when we can gather safely in our church buildings, Days when our kids will once again enter their schools to receive their education. You are making a new covenant and calling us to: New commitment to care for the marginalized, New commitment to the immigrant and refugee, New commitment to the unhoused, New commitment to the neurodivergent, New commitment to people of color, New commitment to people of all ages. You have put your law inside of us. We all know you and your promises. The days are surely coming. Thanks be to God. Amen. By Rev. Megan Stowe, Superintendent Commonwealth West District Jeremiah 31:31-34
