A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis

During these difficult days, Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar and the members of the Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.

You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.

Today’s prayer

God, sometimes I sense you calling, but I can’t see you. I run from room to room. Are you here? Are you there? I mistake your voice for others, “did you call me?” And am confused when the answer is “no.” Tell me again and again and again, “Here I am.” Until I settle into listening space. Speak, for your servant is listening. In the dark, now I am listening. In the fear, now I am listening. In the face of challenge, now I am listening. Do not hide the truth from me, but make me strong to hear. Give me words to share with other true listeners. For your plans are good. And your love is real. And you are with me. And I hear you.

Karen L. Munson, NEAC Superintendent appointed to Many Waters 1 Samuel 3:1-10, (11-20)
