A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis
During these difficult days, members of the Many Waters District of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today’s prayer
Based on Luke 2:40 Dear Lord, on this first Sunday after Christmas, allow us to remember that you sent your only son for us. Although his story starts as a baby in a manger, he will become a man who gives his life for us.
Thank you for his wonderful example of living a life dependent on you. As we close the pages of one year and turn the cover of the new, grant us the ability to grow in our faith and closer to you each and every day.
We pray that you will equip us with the necessary gifts to lead in our local communities and be a light for those around us. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen. Nunzi Graziano, Readfield United Methodist Church Laity, Vida Nueva of Maine Secretary
