A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis
During these difficult days, members of the Seacoast District of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Based on Psalm 67 Selah: pause, reflect and praise. The psalmist’s instruction to us in your Word.
We know that you are good to us, O Lord, but how often do we stop our never-ending activities to truly ponder the many blessings you have bestowed upon us, your grateful children?
Not nearly enough.
And so, Heavenly Father, in this time of crippling uncertainty in this human world of ours, help us to always remember to pause, reflect and praise you, so that we all may sing with joy for what we have been given.
We ask you to continue to shine your heavenly light upon us, so that every one of your children may know your goodness, mercy and kindness.
This we pray in the name of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.
