A Daily Prayer During this COVID-19 Crisis

Writer: TomTom

April 30, 2021 A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis During these difficult days, Bishop Devadhar and members of the Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions. Today’s prayer At first glance, the trees outside my window are wearing their minimalistic winter garb; devoid of color or style. But if I take the time to inspect them more closely, I see small signs of the designer's touch. I notice the greening bud at the end of the branches. I see the hints of yellow or pink that promises of the haute couture that will drape this branch in the coming days and weeks. Your design: your fingerprint is in every inch of bark, bud, root and branch. Creator God, may it be so of me as well. May it be that every element of my soul, showcases you, the master designer. May the fruit of my life be your Glory. Amen. By Rev. Dr. Jacquelyn Brannen, Katahdin District Superintendent John 15:1-8
