April 19, 2021 During these difficult days, Bishop Devadhar and members of the Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions. Today’s prayer Holy One, This morning, we quiet our minds and allow ourselves to let go of the worries and tasks we carry. We lay them down and set them aside. We begin this day by letting go, so that we can hear and recognize your voice. We place ourselves truly in your care, yet knowing deep down that we are already there resting safely. We don’t know exactly what this day will bring, but are not afraid. What comfort to know that we have a shepherd who knows us – even better than we know ourselves. That when the world will try to get ahold of us That you will never abandon us, never let us go. You know the distance of our lives. You watch out for all our companions. Be with those who don’t know or haven’t known that they have a shepherd. We will journey together: the broken and the whole. Our breath together, our work together, our living together – all intertwined in you. A sacrament of blessing. Amen. By Rev.
