Psalm 51:10-13

Verse 10: Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Sometimes I really am my own worst enemy. God sees this, and waits for me to come around. He is there waiting with a fresh start, and an infusion of His steadfast Spirit. When I go off-track, when I mess up or allow my negative nature to lead me, I suffer. If I could only remember beforehand to ask for God’s help.

Holy One, you are with me always. Help me to see my wrong-thinking before I act or speak. I want to be the person only you know I can be. Amen

Psalm 51: 10-13

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.

It is through the Holy Spirit that I am given love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and self-control etc. I sometimes experience difficulty with patience and self-control among others. It is through the Holy Spirit that I find my way and continue on my path to Jesus. The Holy Spirit knows my pain and anxieties. It is through the prays of the Holy Spirit over me that I receive comfort.

Dearest Lord you gave me the Holy Spirit in my heart so that my dead spirit is…

Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

David was truly sorry for his adulterous affair with Bethsheba . But because David repented of these sins God mercifully forgave him. No sin is to great to be forgiven, in today’s world people tend to please themselves first. I pray that I never let sin drive a wedge between me and God. God wants me to be close to him, but sin that remains un confessed makes his closeness impossible. Right conduct can come from a clean heart. If asked God will create a pure hear…

One of the hardest things to do is to let go of things we have no control over. We ourselves cannot "fix" everything. We all need t be reminded to pray for patience and let God work in his marvelous ways.

Psalm 51:12 - “Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and sustain in me a willing spirit.”

The deeper we go into this prolonged season of isolation from one another I find myself less enthusiastic about doing business and social functions electronically. One of my most long time friends is retiring on Thursday and his wife has sent our invitations for a virtual gathering in his honor. As much as I love and respect my friend I cannot get excited about an event like this. Could Satan be behind the evaporation of joy and willingness of spirit? My enthusiasm wanes as the days of plague and all of its soul-crushing elements continue to drag by. This verse is …
