Isaiah 46: 4
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
In our culture, growing older often brings with it a sense of irrelevance. Our culture places little value on what seniors have to offer. Yet seniors truly are the ones who have “been there, done that.” Our relationship with God, our value to God, does not diminish with time. God loves me today, and I know he will love me tomorrow. He sustains me forever.
Lord God, I don’t like feeling irrelevant. I know you value me as your creation, and you are with me for eternity. Help me to hold to your eternal love and know I have value. Amen

Isaiah 46:4 I volunteer at a local nursing home and an assisted living facility. They are wonderful facilities that love and care for their residents. When I receive the birthday lists, I am often humbled to see how many are younger than I am. Although my first reaction was “there but for the grace of God go I,” I now realize that God is caring for all his people. They have been placed there by loving family to keep them safe and cared for by loving professionals. God is with us in all our life situations; whether it be our own homes or in a nursing home. God is our God wherever we are. Prayer, Gracious God, thank you for all t…
Isiah 46:4
I have seen God’s hand in many large things in my life, but His presence is more noticeable to me in everything in my dotage. I have become more aware of everything that he does for me as I age and study Him more.
Dear Lord thank you for becoming a greater presence in my life. Amen.

I hear a promise in this verse that tells me that God will carry me in every season of my life, and he has. He may send me challenges in this life, but he will be there for me every day. God made me and will take car…
Isaiah 46: 4
Loss is a staple of aging. Loved ones, treasured mentors, heroes of our youth, for some, health and wellness. Through it all, God carries and sustains us. We can ask for no more.
Prayer - Thank You, Lord for walking this season of life with me and when necessary, carrying me over the rough spots. Amen
