Daniel 12:3
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
This verse reads like a beautiful poem to me. I wrote a Haiku of the same message, for the New Testament.
Wise ones will beam light;
Heavens full of gleaming stars
who shared the good news.
Father God, one of the ways we show our love for you and for others is to share the gospel with them. Help me to be wise, alert and stout of heart. Amen

Daniel 12:3 The methods and the opportunities for evangelism are so many that it would be Impossible to give instructions how to share what God has done for me/us to others. The important thing is that there should be the will to do this work. It brings to mind the great commission. This passage goes right to the heart. It is another promise from God of a certain reward in eternity. Notice the word will God does not say Those who are wise may shine…he saids "will shine." Daniel 12:3 These words of Daniel are so beautiful. I think it is much better than the streets of gold in revelations. As we go through our lives, our belief in God and his son, our actions toward others, and our sharing of the Good News gives us this gift. We are the stars in God’s heaven. What a beautiful picture this paints. Prayer: Gracious God, your words always teach me something new. Thank you. Amen

Even in Old Testament times, the importance of sharing with others a godly way to live was a valued and honored characteristic. We must make every effort to to continue to execute God’s plan. We are all gifted in different ways and our way of sharing will not be the same, but share we must so that the heavens are brightened even further.
Prayer - Loving God, let me find a way daily to let Your light shine through me to lead many to righteousness. Amen

I feel this verse tells me that we should lead by example. If we are Christ-like in the way we live, the people we meet will see what believing in Christ can do. We are evangelist, who are given the insight into what God wants from us, and then attempt to share it. In being Christ-like in all that we do, we show to all we meet the meaning of God.
