2 Corinthians 1: 3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
I have never really thought about comforting others in this way. It is our strength as Christian believers which allows us to give this particular comfort. It is the Holy Spirit, living in us. What if I were to remember this, throughout the day, and specifically ask God to use me to give comfort? Would my work be more effective? Might someone experience a different sort of peace?
Holy Father, you are abundantly generous and full of peace and comfort. Help me to pass this on to others in my “everyday“, but especially in my work. Amen

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Our Bible continually tells us of how God is with us when we experience loss, regret, sadness, and pain. He is not only with us but promises to bring us the comfort we need as we go through it. . He is with us always. It’s easy for me to think my sadness doesn’t count because others have gone through worse. Each day as I continue to feel the holy spirit within I realize how I have been blessed. Compassion and comfort from Jesus are available whenever I need it. God’s grace is not reserved for my hardest moments; it's available to me on a day-by-day and even moment-by-moment basis! The beautiful thing is that God offers us…
2 Corinthians 1:3–4 He comforts us so we can comfort others because we understand their needs. It is the same as “we love because he first loved us.” Our Bibles are full of wonderful lessons. There are so many who need comfort and love today. I will look around to offer comfort to another person today. It might be just a phone call, but it might be just with someone needs today. Prayer: gracious God, guide me today to comfort others in someway as I go through my day. Amen
2 Corinthians 1: 3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
This life on earth is full of troubles and sorrow. God is never going to tell me that things are going to be okay, when we know that they really won’t be. God will never tell me to give up, but gives me real hope though the Bible verses, He gives me a glimpse of what life will be like with Him once we deal with this life’s challenges. God…
2 Corinthians 1: 3-4
This is one of many Scripture passages that urge believers to “pass it on” or “pay it forward.” It is another reminder that Christianity, from its its beginnings in Judaism, has its greatest strength and power when we act in community and care for one another. Even our sorrows are not to be borne alone. Part of our Christian mission is to be burden-bearers In prayer, word and if possible, in deeds for others.
Prayer - God of compassion, give me a heart for others who endure sorrow, the discernment to identify them and the spiritual, verbal and physical tools to help them bear their burden. Amen
