Proverbs 21:30-31

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.

The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.

There certainly are a lot of conflicts/battles/wars described throughout history in the bible. This does not mean that God ever condoned these battles. God sees all of it. He must be very sad to witness so much bloodshed in so many places. True and eternal victory belongs to God, and no one can win that battle without going to Him. The battles (big and small) continue, and we must continue to look to God for direction.

Holy Lord, I do not understand war. How can I help to bring peace? Lead me, Lord. Amen

Dear God, I pray that you bring believers together to fight the war against evil and

know through faith that you will see the battle to victory. Amen

Do I have what it takes to be a horse for God, being made ready for the day of battle? Despite our fervent desire and prayers for peace, the evil one thrives on promoting conflict. People of faith must be equipped and prepared to counteract Satan’s actions in this world, and do so with the confidence that victory rests with the Lord. As the persecuted church around the world knows too well, there will be casualties, but our ultimate peace comes through the strength of all believers who know Satan may win individual battles, but lost the war against God and His faithful horses when the tomb was discovered to be empty.

Prayer - Almighty God, remove any…
