1 Corinthians 11:1
Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
Paul wrote to the church at Corinth, instructing them to follow his example, as he was following Christ’s. Thankfully, we have a lot of documentation from the Gospels giving us even more direct examples to follow. Christ is the One we must emulate. Living like Jesus needs to be my goal each and every day. The once-popular WWJD question remains a very good guide for making choices. Jesus is our model, demonstrating all of the fruits of the spirit.
Holy God, I know I can learn a lot from other faithful Christians. But you have given me the example of Jesus, and then the Holy Spirit to guide me. You have also left your Holy Word in scripture. I have all that I need from you, and am truly thankful. Amen

1 Corinthians 11:1
We just never know when something we do, say, or even react to has a positive or negative effect on someone. Paul understood this and writes this to the church in Corinth. My Southern Baptist Brother-in-law would tell his Sunday School class to carry a card with WWJD in their pocket--then if not sure what to do--pull out the card and you will know--do what Jesus would do.
Prayer: Gracious God, Being an example of Jesus is an awesome responsibility. Help me be a good one. AMEM
1 Corinthians 11:1
Following Jesus example…some days easier said than done. Throughout my life I have fallen, failing to do the best I can living in a Christ-like manner. I am imperfect, I am a sinner but “I get myself up, brush myself off and start all over again”. Fortunately, I have the Holy Bible, the best instruction manual ever written at my disposal to help me stay on track.
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending us Your Word to help us lead the best Christ-like life we can. If I stumble, please reach for me and guide me to a life that is pleasing to You. Amen

1 Corinthians 11:1
Follow my example just like I follow Christ.
I can relate to the upper room author this morning. Many times I have said, follow me I’ll drive my car and show you the way. Many more times I have had people showing me the way. Wow! What a short, significant, bold, humble statement from Paul under the guidance of the Holy Spirit to look into the eyes of these Corinthian and to say, follow me. But what about my private life. Because if we’re honest, it’s not that hard to fake it in public. We can put on a show. We can look spiritual. We can say the right words…
1 Corinthians 11:1 The importance of godly mentorship cannot be overestimated. I have had the blessings of excellent mentors in education, professionally and in my spiritual formation. I have tried to be the same to others, whether as a Scouting leader, teacher or supervisor. The rewards of seeing a young person one has invested in succeed and thrive are among’s life’s greatest blessings. The blessings become even greater if Jesus is in the mix.
Prayer - Lord Jesus, help me be the mentor that young people need, guiding them to not only an understanding, but a deep love and devotion to You. As Paul was an example, allow me the privilege of that role in the lives of those seeking a…
