Acts 3:16
"By faith in the name of Jesus; this man man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you all can see."
We know that faith does not always directly lead to miracles. But when Jesus, and then his disciples, performed miracles among the people, faith was often the essential ingredient. Not everyone who had (or has) great faith was healed. The miracles of healing showed the power of God to the people, and only with faith could they access God. Miracles show us God's supernatural powers. When we experience a miracle, our faith grows, but more importantly, we become better witnesses to the power of God. I am certain I have overlooked miracles, or passed over them in my busy-ness. I pray that my eyes are open to miracles, and that when I witness one, I have the courage to share. Amen

Acts 3:16
Yesterday’s verses symbolized Hope for me. Today’s verse is about Faith in Jesus, Peter made sure that the people understood that the healing of the temple beggar was by faith in Jesus. It is because of our Faith in him that we pray for healing. It is seldom as dramatic as the beggar’s healing and sometimes nothing happens as we want. But is does not stop my prayers or my Faith in Him.
Prayer: Gracious God, May my Faith in you remain strong as I learn more about your miracles. Amen

Acts 3:16
And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.
Peter and John expressed complete faith in the name of Jesus, the only source of salvation. The faith here is not that of the lame man but of Peter and John, who trusted God to heal the man. The disabled man did not understand enough about faith when God healed him. The apostles faith, was necessary for the man’s healing. I imagine how I would react had I been among the people at the temple who witnessed th…
Acts 3:16 The miracle in this passage (and many others) came “by faith in the name of Jesus.“ The leader of the men’s group I attend on Saturday morning has “F T H“ on his car license plates. The letters stand for Faith, Trust and Hope. These elements represent the seedbed from which miracles can grow. Like our salvation itself, miracles are gifts of God’s grace. These gifts can serve as spiritual nourishment, making our faith, trust and hope stronger and more resistant to the diseases of sin and doubt.
Prayer - Lord, only by Your hand can my mustard seed of faith grow into the fullness You have designed for me. Thank You for the spiritual nourishment You provide in…
