A Daily Devotion for Thursday, September 16

Isaiah 41:10,13

”So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

“For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear, I will help you,”

God tells us, through Isaiah, that He will strengthen us, uphold us, help us. He will make our burdens lighter by strengthening us. He does not make life perfect. But with more strength and with less fear, we can move forward. We are never alone with our burdens.

Holy One, You are always with me, ready to give me strength and to help me with my burdens. Help me to give up control when it is right for me to do so. You alone are my strength and my light. I am thankful. Amen
