Isaiah 41:10,13
”So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
“For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear, I will help you,”
God tells us, through Isaiah, that He will strengthen us, uphold us, help us. He will make our burdens lighter by strengthening us. He does not make life perfect. But with more strength and with less fear, we can move forward. We are never alone with our burdens.
Holy One, You are always with me, ready to give me strength and to help me with my burdens. Help me to give up control when it is right for me to do so. You alone are my strength and my light. I am thankful. Amen

Isaiah 41:10,13 The voice of the prophet was one of strength and reassurance to a people undergoing the trauma of conquest and exile. While Christians have the Word of God, the culture at large is lacking a prophetic voice that brings unity of purpose and a sense of calm in the turmoil of life. I wonder if such a voice will arise in my lifetime and how we will respond when it does. Prophets themselves did not often fare well, but their message lived after them.
