Isaiah 40:31
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
”I can’t believe I’m [insert age]! I don’t feel [age]!” How many times have we heard others say this, or say it ourselves! This verse describes this experience for me. God gave us our very “being” and it never needs to grow old. As long as we know we have God and His promises, we never need to feel old. This life on earth is just part of our infancy.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun,
we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
than when we‘d first begun.
Father God, your gift of eternity with you is more than I can comprehend. I live in the hope of a beautiful forever, but am eternally grateful for the now. Amen

Isaiah 40: 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
When the everyday grind of life gets us down, it is our hope in God that sees us through. That he will handle all we give to his care. All we need to do is ask for his comfort and support through all that this life throws at us. The faith and hope in God is our way to eternal life.
Dearest Lord, thank you for all you do for me. It is my hope in you that gets me through the day. The wonderf…
Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint. Sometimes it’s difficult to see hope in a situation. The Bible says that true hope is unseen but if we can be hopeful for our salvation, which is unseen, we can be hopeful for other things too. Hope is unseen but can we trust it? we can trust the chair we sit in or the mug we pour our coffee into because we can see it. there are also things that we can trust without seeing it. We can trust that our insurance company will…
Isaiah 40:31
Our hope in the Lord is like a perpetual “second wind,” allowing us to rise above the storms of everyday life. There are times we feel as if circumstances of job, family, health or relationships are closing around us, but if we can remember and believe we are under the protection of God our weariness can turn to strength. Isaiah, in more poetic language, foreshadows Paul’s admonition we studied yesterday.
Prayer - Lord, in times of struggle, confusion and hardship, help me to remember Your power to overcome is always available to me. Keep me in Your care that I may soar on wings like and eagle, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint. Amen
