A Daily Devotion for Monday, November 1

Romans 3:21-26

But now a righteousness from God, apart from the law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

This is a sacrifice, a sacred level of sacrifice, which I admit I don’t really understand. I only know it was an event which allowed scripture to be fulfilled and which allowed us the promise of eternal life with God. It was a sacrifice which set right our relationship with God. It was a sacrifice which provided forgiveness of all of our sins. We only need accept Christ as our savior. It was a sacrifice of Himself, allowed at the hands of angry men and women.

Holy One, I have done nothing worthy of this sacrifice. I am still a sinner, no matter how hard I try to be a better person. I am counting on your love and forgiveness and promises, which give my life meaning. Amen

Romans 3:21-26

A sin is a sin regardless of how great or small it is. They all separate us from God, but they can all be forgiven. When we are justified we are declared not guilty. (like a judge and jury) God forgives our sins and our record is wiped clean. It is as though we never sinned. Redemption means Christ has set us free from sin. Christ redeemed our freedom by being crucified on the cross. God desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ.(Acts 4:12) As believers we know about the second coming and it’s purpose, to offer resurrection and eternal life…

Romans 3:21–26 25. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who send in times past. We are all sinners. We are only human and we make mistakes. But if we really understand what God has done, sacrificing his only son on our behalf, we know our sins can always be forgiven if we ask. We must put our trust in God that this is so. Prayer: gracious God, may I always know and trust in Jesus sacrifice for my sin. Amen

Romans 3: 21-26

25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood---to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished

The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross was atonement for our sins. God the Father felt that this was the only way to help us all have eternal life with him. God took the initiative to bring us into the right relationship with himself.

Dearest Lord, you sacrificed your Son for us so that we can experience eternal life with you in heaven. This sacrifice was done for people that you knew would sin and yet you have…

Romans 3:21-26

“A righteousness from God apart from the law,” defies the common sense of a world in which ”there is no such thing as a free lunch.” While it is clearly true that discipleship comes at a cost, salvation is by faith through the grace of God. Among all the prayers we pray for

others, the most important is that the Holy Spirit open the hearts and minds of all who have not accepted this gift and work in the hearts of those who have, but lack an assurance of salvation.

Prayer - Jesus, Your sacrifice was for the sins of all, not just a chosen few. I fervently pray that the Holy Spirit act mightily in a…
