Colossians 4:2-6
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Romans 10:17
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
I think that most Christian believers long for such an opportunity- to be able to bring someone to Christ right here and now. The opportunities seem to elude me. And if I had an opportunity, I am afraid I would be terrified. I know we are the hands and feet of Christ, and we shine his light when we are serving according to his will. These are my opportunities, which I know I can handle. God sends each of us in a different way, with our own unique plan. Mine is not like another’s, and that is okay! ❤️
Holy Lord, thank-you for lighting my path. I will do my best. In the name of my Savior, your Son, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen

Courage to speak
(Focus: those needing a fresh start
Romans 10:17
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of Christ
The powerful truth that we need to know to be saved is that w e have to believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead , we will be saved. Because I believe I should then speak, the two work together for our salvation as well,as in every other area of our lives. I Think back on my own experiences. My greatest moment of faith was the moments when I heard God’s Word…
Becky, I believe you and Tom do more to bring us to Christ than anyone I know. You do this through this communication.
Colossians 4:2-6/Romans 10:17
Paul faithfully shared the gospel of Jesus Christ even though it sometimes it endangered his safety and caused him to be incarcerated. He persisted and carried the message all the way to Rome where he was ultimately martyred. Today, it is increasingly evident that sharing Jesus could be risky and there have been laws passed hee and abroad that put Christians at risk of fines and even jail time for being true to their faith. Would I risk my freedom as willingly as Paul if it came to that? Paul’s advice to the Colossians can help us protect ourselves: “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation…
Colossians 4:2-6
The readings today have the role of Christian missionaries come to my mind and heart. These courageous soldiers of Christ move about this , very often, hostile world to spread the Word. Their efforts to bring the truth of salvation and God’s Grace to those who are in places and in circumstances where they would not have this profound opportunity cannot be underestimated. It humbles me. I could do better in my tiny little world to help spread the Gospel. Opportunities, subtle and obvious, are in front of me to do so.
Dear God, please help me to be better. Please help me to spread the Gospel of Your Son, to be less timid and more forthright with…
