John 16:33
”I have told you these things, so that you in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Jesus Is essentially offering himself to us in this passage. He lets us know he is our way to peace and courage. He admits we live in a world which will certainly bring us sorrow. But he reminds us that in Him, this sorrow and fear can be overcome.
Lord God, I thank you for sending Jesus to lead us and teach us. You lived and breathed and walked this earth in human form to teach us to lean on you. You have filled me with courage. Amen

John 16:33
We will have trouble; not might, not perhaps, not likely, but will have trouble. In dark times we must always try to remember Jesus’ words of encouragement. A sense that He has overcome those forces that appear to be arrayed against us gives us the courage to engage the struggle and come out the other side.
Prayer - Jesus, we are facing much trouble today, just as those before us in every age and those in the ages to come. Turn our minds at times of difficulty to the knowledge that You have overcome the world. On this is what our courage is based. Amen

It sometimes takes a lot of courage and work to change and we have to be open to the work involved. Trouble will find us in this life,…
