A Daily Devotion for Friday, June 21

John 1:16

Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.

This verse from John reminds is that Jesus brought us closer to the Father. We were already blessed beyond imagining, with creation and life on this earth. But Jesus brought us closer to God, and because of Jesus, we are able to enter into any holy place and approach God confidently. This verse would be beautiful in a prayer of thanksgiving.

Holy Lord, you sent us Jesus, and out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. I am so thankful. Amen

NLT. From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessings after another.

MESSAGE. We all live off his generous abundance, gift after gift after gift.

The words grace and gift are our blessings. We are the recipients of so much from Jesus, but the best gift for me is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is such a good friend and confidant to me. Today I would have been literally lost without the presence of someone to ask for help! My cry for help was answered and got me safely where I needed to be. “One gracious blessing after another”—“gift after gift after gift”

Prayer: Gracious God, My thanks to you for all my generous blessings. Amen

John 1:16

From the fullness f his grace we ave all received one blessing after another.

The blessings that we receive because of his grace.  How would I describe that one true gift.  These blessings are rhe reaults of our having Christ within our hearts. He gives all that He gives because He gives Himself. The real possession that we receive is neither more nor less than a loving Saviour, to enter our spirits and remain there, and be the Holy Spirit , and the life of our lives. God wants us to pass along to others, what he freely gives to us. Before I can share his blessings with others I have to recognize …
