2 Timothy 2:15
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
I take this to mean that I should do my best to be able to express my experience of God’s truth. I should not be ashamed, or shy away from opportunities to speak this truth. When I say “my experience,” this does not mean that I change scripture to mean what I want it to mean. But we all are taught and led by the Holy Spirit, and our experiences will be different. This must result in people having different interpretations and different experience of what “truth” means. I believe, though, that these truths will all be in line with Jesus’ teaching. This is a lot to think and pray about.
Holy Lord, help me to know what is truth and what is outside of your desires for your children. Help me to know what is a truth and what is a personal interpretation for my own needs and comfort. Amen

2 Timothy 2:15
Work hard - Be a good worker. It does not say you have to have the best job or make the most money. Simply do what you have the education and talent to the very best of your ability. I often tell people that this is easy if you love what you do. But the same is true if you do not.
Prayer: Gracious God, I love what you have me doing at this stage of my life. Thank you. Amen

It’s very easy to be a mediocre person. All you need to do is make no extra effect in all you say and do. If you compromise you do a little less than what you know is right and proper. To be excellent means to do a little more than you normally would .It means to go the extra mile. After commenting about false teachers in the previous verse, Paul urges Timothy to view himself as a worker seeking to please God. Any worker desires to satisfy…
2 Timothy 2:15
“Present yourself to God,” The text says nothing about presenting ourselves to our boss, the Rotary Club, government officials or the Board of Ordained Ministry. We bear the truth of the gospel as servants of God. We are answerable only to God. While we strive to have positive effects on the world around us, the “why” is based firmly on God’s purpose and mission for us. Once we fully accept our place in God’s kingdom, it should never be a source of shame or embarrassment. Satan may try to lead us in that direction, but is a defeated foe. It is Satan who rightfully bears all shame, not the Lord’s truth-bearers.
Prayer - God of all truth,…
