Ephesians 3: 16-19
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ…
This morning I was struck with how beautiful this prayer is. Paul is praying for the Ephesians, and it is a prayer I could say every single morning for all those I love. It is also a prayer I could say to God for myself, that I may have the power, together with the world of believers, to grasp just how wonderful, how high and how deep is God’s love for his creation. I am not alone; I have the world of believers, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit with me. I pray this morning that those who struggle with their lack of faith, may be moved by you, God, to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. There are many of these people in my life, and I don’t know how to move them further, closer to you. I know that you, God, can soften hearts. You, God, provide the increase. I pray that you lead those to Christ who are hovering at the door- help them to move to Christ, I pray. Amen

Ephesians 3: 16-19
Spending time daily in the Word and in prayer helps me to further the understanding of my relationship with God. My mind can be very scattered at times and the quiet time I spend with God grounds me. This is testament to the power of God’s love for me and His ability to settle me.
Heavenly Father, thank you for Your powerful and never ending love. Please help me to work on my relationship with You daily and I pray this for others in my life and those I love. I pray that they are drawn to you and develop a relationship with You. Amen

Spending time in God's word is something we have talked a lot about in our Transformer discussions. Reading and writing a devotion each morning is what helps us. A few months ago, I found myself very busy and often wrote "didn't post" in my notebook. One day I realized that I had more time the next day so I posted twice. I realized I wanted to be a complete part of the group. This week has been especially busy with out of state visitors and several family celebrations. Ephesians 3: 16-19 Words will rarely convey the transformative power of faith to someone who has not been primed by the power of the Holy Spirit. While we can very rarely talk non-believers into the Kingdom, we can work with the Holy Spirit and love them in. Paul’s reminds us as well that this is not the responsibility of just one person. Evangelism and discipleship are team sports. He writes that we, ”together with all the Lord’s holy people” can help those who do not have a relationship with Jesus “to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” That starts with the depth of love we have for and are willing to share with them.
