2 Corinthians 7:5-7
For when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn —conflicts on the outside, fears within. But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.
I have come to recognize God’s love for me in different ways. It wasn’t until recently that I truly understood it; the love we feel and show one another, including the love we show by supporting one another, helping, praying for, smiling at, hugging, listening to- it is all God’s love. We only know how to love because God first loved us. (1John 4:19). When I came to understand this, it helped me to value the love I give and receive from others, whether they hold the same beliefs as I do , or not. We are all children of God.
Holy Lord, thank you for this lesson today. You have put love in my heart to share and show to others. I am so very thankful. My cup is overflowing! ❤️😇❤️ Amen

It is the one on one work bringing comfort to one heart at a time that sustains the mission to make disciples to transform the world. Our sister, Bev, would say, “Being a Titus is enough.” She should know…
