Revelation 21:4
”He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.“
God tells us about eternity in different ways. I am not very familiar with the book of Revelation, but here we find a promise of freedom from our sorrows and our pain. Sadness and trials are part of our earthly lives, but not part of our eternal lives. If we have faith in God’s promises, we can have faith in an eternity of joy and peace.
Holy Father, today I am a little confused by scripture which is less well-known to me. Help me to learn from this book what you intend for me to learn. In the meantime, I know your promises do not change. I am thankful. Amen

Revelations 21: 4 “He will wipe very tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
We all experience pain and sorrow in this life. Not one of us are exempt from the challenges of this life. But the wonderful promise of eternal life will bring us joy. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we are promised redemption and eternal life. What a wonderful day that will be when pain and sorrow are no longer a part of our lives, and we spend eternity with Jesus in heaven.
Dearest Lord, we are given challenges in this life and they build our faith. It…
Revelation 21:4 I remember reading Revelation 21:1–4 at a funeral. It was meant to bring comfort to those left here. Their loved one was now in a paradise of no death, sorrow, or pain. That should be comfort for we believers today. Except for this verse, I have read a little of revelation. It always seemed a bit “out there” for me. Obviously I need to spend more time trying to understand those difficult passages. Revelation 21:4 is not a difficult passage, but an assurance of sorrow left behind as we enter this paradise. Prayer: Gracious God, help me work a little harder to try to understand your words. Amen
Revelation 21:4
I may not understand why we have to endure some of the things in life that cause such heart-ache and pain, but let me never forget that his vision is broader than my narrow view. He is always our help when in trouble yesterday, today, and tomorrow .A day is already set in heaven when God will wipe away all tears. God's gift of the Holy Spirit that dwells within each of us gives faith, comfort and healing. who is always with us. Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted and the Holy Spirit understands. It is very assuring to know That a day is coming where there will be no mourning, crying, or pain. I do not kn…
Revelation 21:4
John’s vision of the new creation includes one of my favorite verses in all of Scripture. There are so many for so long who have endured such incredible hardship and sorrow in their sojourn on earth. The assurance that those in Christ with eternal life will never again have such experiences is a huge part of God’s Good News. If we believe this, we ought to redouble our efforts to share it with those who remain outside the family of God.
Prayer - God of joy, Your promise to wipe every tear is a profound source of hope for all who suffer in this life. I pray that all who are in physical, mental and emotional pain c…
