Revelation 21:1-5

verse 5: He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

We will have to wait for the new beginning described in Revelation 21. I long for a new beginning here on earth, starting now, Jan. 1, 2021. We have read many other passages in scripture describing new beginnings. We are all “starting over” each time we acknowledge Jesus Christ and make the commitment to live for Him. I will find a way this year, with God’s help, to start over and become more the person God intended.

God of all people, guide me to a better life in you. Help me to be more faithful, more kind and more giving. Help me to see ways to change, and be molded by you. I will listen and follow. Amen

Revelations 21:1-5

The earth as we know it will, not last forever. But after God‘s great judgement he will create a new earth. We don’t know how the new earth will be look or how it will be. Instead of us going up to meet him he comes down to be with us. Just as God became man in Jesus Christ and lived among us many years ago. We will be united and live together forever. I wonder how eternity will look, a place where God will wipe away every tear no more deaths, pain, sorrow or crying When God makes all things new, he will make us spiritually and morally pure he will give us a body like…

Revelation 21:3-4 - “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘See, the home of God is among mortals.

He will dwell with them;

they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.’”

Over the years this promise of God has emerged as a source of great hope for me. Certainly there are many people who experience unimaginable pain, suffering and loss when they are young, even children. But with increasing age comes the accumulation of tears, death, mourning and pain of a lifetime. One can…

Revelations 21: 1-5

4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

This verse not only gives me hope; this verse lets me know what God’s intentions are for us. What I have to do in order to gain access, is to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. This verse gives me the knowledge that God’s people shall dwell with Him in eternity. A wonderful thing to look forward to.

Dearest Lord you promise me eternal life and I am so grateful for that. We will be free of sin, worry and much, much more. Until that time, let…
