2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
For those of us who have been believers as long as we can remember, these words may carry a different message than for the new, or born-again Christian. For me, the verse is a reminder that in Christ, we are always encouraged to move forward. We are never instructed to marinate in our guilt. We can leave behind our disappointments and our guilt, knowing as we repent that God is still loving us.
Holy Lord, sometimes when I confess my wrongs, I am convinced of your disappointment in me. Help me to have faith in your love, and to know beyond any doubt, I have been forgiven. Amen

2 Corinthians 5:17
This verse is so hard for some to understand. Simply being one of God’s children means your sins are forgiven and your past is forgotten. It brings to mind the hymn, “this is the day of the new beginnings. “I won’t print all the words, but it reminds us to move on, step from the past, seek new paths, and Christ goes before us to show us what love can do. Our God is making all things new.
Prayer:Gracious God, thank you for each new day we get to start over and follow you. Amen

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Anyone who is in Christ, and believes he paid the price for our sins, has been made a new creation. Trusting that Christ's death burial, and resurrection is the central part of the gospel... we are a new creature. Our old ways of doing things have passed away; and every thing about us has become brand new. No matter what race or age, gender or nationality or language, education or intelligence, the gospel of Christ is for ANYONE and everyone. ALL who believe are IN CHRIST by faith. Everyone is given a…
2 Corinthians 5:17 The profound power of this verse is under-appreciated. It is vividly clear when a person turns their life around after an encounter with Jesus. When I attended a graduation ceremony at His Mansion ministries for five young people who had successfully completed the one year program and gave their testimonies, this verse was on the front of the program. Despite the drama of the departure of the old creature and arrival of the new, the late Dr. Charles Stanley preached the critical part of this verse is “in Christ.” He said almost the entirety of Paul’s theology could be summed up in those two words. Whether one has been a believer for 30 years or 30 seconds, being…
