Luke 6:21
Blessed are you who hunger now,
for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who weep now,
for you will laugh.
Joy follows all sorrow- it is true. There will always be joy and laughter if we allow ourselves to find it and experience it. I fully believe this is one of God’s greatest gifts to his beloved creation. Sorrow can feel almost unbearable. But somehow we need to remember that we have our God, our Holy Spirit living within us to bring us joy and laughter. It has helped me in the past to ask for joy- in the midst of something painful. God has answered this prayer for me.
Holy Lord, I am so thankful for your gift of joy and laughter. May I never forget to ask again. Amen

Heavenly Father, thank you for relieving my spiritual hunger. Thank you for the gift of joy now and the gift of joy that awaits. Amen.
